Nut 100k & 50k

Both the 100K and 50K courses run almost entirely along the beautiful North Umpqua River in the Umpqua National Forest. The trail winds through old-growth forest Douglas Fir, Hemlock and Sugar Pine, with trees more than 800 hundred years old. You’ll pass moss-covered rock bluffs, fern-covered hillside and run through lush forest past several waterfalls.

These are point-to-point, uphill courses. Both are challenging and described as “brutiful”. The North Umpqua trail is a relatively unknown gem that more outdoor adventurers are starting to discover.

The 2017 races were cancelled the week of the event due to forest fires on the course. The forest is recovering and a ton of work was done in 2018 to repair and restore the trail. It's in better condition now than it was before the fire.

The 100K starts at Swiftwater Park and gains 11,000 feet to reach the finish at Lemolo Lake Resort. The 50K begins half-way through the 100K course, near Marsters Bridge, and also finishes at the lake.

The 100K start is about 30 minutes east of Roseburg Oregon. Lemolo Lake is just 18 miles north of Crater Lake National Park.
